I find it difficult to fit everything I need to do in a day. The things I want to do are usually put on the backburner, or mentally filed away under ‘Maybe in the next lifetime’.
I would love to be able to make nice dinners from scratch every day, but the reality is that daily life gets busy and some days I am thankful that we’ve stocked up on some reliable dinner options that you can just pull out of the pantry or freezer and prepare quickly. For this reason, we always have soup, noodles, frozen vegetables, frozen meat and meal options like Hamburger Helper on hand.
I often buy them when they are on sale and they store well for a long time. And not only are they life savers when you are looking for something quick, but they also help when you find yourself on maternity leave and between paychecks. My kids could live off of HH when my husband is away. I let them choose the pasta (Cheesy Shells is always a hit), and then make it as per directions but mix in cooked veggies of their choice afterwards (Peas/corn/Broccoli)… I like to add some of the Kraft Mexicana cheese to mine for an extra kick!
I love when they have the veggie coupons or Beef coupons on the boxes! Time to stock up!

The Taco Hamburger Helper i add corn and sometimes have sour cream on the side. We eat it in a bowl or sometimes on torilla shells!! AMazing!!

I love to take HH and let each family member choose an ingredient to add. That way it’s a meal we are all a part of.
We have chosen things from leftover ingredients in the fridge, to mystery cans out of the cupboard that we cover the labels.
It makes for a fun and interesting family meal.

I usually add grated cheese on top and let it melt,,depends on what kind it is..if I dont put cheese on it,,I leave it the way it is..We love Hamburger Helper!

I have to admit that I have never made Hamburger Helper, I ate it as a child my Mother made it often, not sure why I don’t make it, I think it’s time that I introduced it to my family
