The Allan Candy Company has been making sugary sweets since 1927, and they have just launched their newest brand, SAYBON.
Proudly made in Canada, SAYBON offers five different products with a total of 11 varieties so everyone is sure to find a favorite in this new line. The products include:
- Carmelized Sugarmilks – available in Assorted Toffees, Assorted Éclairs and Dairy Fudges
- Handmade Batch Taffies – available in Butt’r Mints and Fruit Taffy
- Smooth Hard Cooked Candies – available in Glitter Mints, Butt’r Creams and Menthol Eucalyptus
- Double Crafted Centre Fills – available in Assorted Crunches and Soft-Centered Fruits
- Sugardust Sweets – available in Scotch Mints.
All of the candies are penaut-free and, with the exception of the Sugardust Sweets, they are all also kosher.
I got to try out a sample of the Carmelized Sugarmilks and the Fruit Batch Taffy. The Fruit Batch Taffy was my favorite. It had a great taste and wasn’t too sticky on my teeth, which I find with most taffy. The Batch Taffy is folded and slab cut by hand, giving each candy a slightly different shape to them.
SAYBON candies are available at major retailers across the country and sell for approximately $2.99 per bag.
SAYBON also has a sweepstakes going on right now on their Allan Candy / SAYBON Facebook page. Head on over and like them on Facebook and enter to win their “It’s Good to Share Sweepstakes” for a chance to win $10,000, plus some great weekly prizes. This contest runs until November 9, and there are weekly prizes as well.
And, don’t just keep these candies to yourself, they are for sharing. I received an extra package that I am sharing with my daughter’s daycare. The lovely ladies there are so ‘sweet’ with all of the kids, they deserve a treat too.
*Disclosure – I received some SAYBON candies in order to complete my review. The opinions in this post are mine only.
