Life gets busy when you become an adult, doesn’t it? Appointments, dates, get togethers, bill due dates, to-do lists, reminders, and the list goes on. And that is only the stuff you need to know for yourself. Throw being pregnant in to the mix and you can count yourself out for trying to remember anything at all. Add a husband and child in to the mix and you need a personal assistant to sort through everything and point you in the right direction.

In comes Chaos… Simplified to save the day (well, the whole year actually) with their new Womans Day Planner filled with everything you need to organize yourself, your thoughts and your life for the next year. Created by a fellow Albertan (from Drumheller, AB), Corri Bitner, this Day Planner is everything you need to get and stay organized and focused.

I was lucky enough to review Chaos… Simplified on this website a little over a year ago, and when I had the chance to feature this planner again, I jumped on it. I loved my old planner that I reviewed and thought that this one could only get better, and I was right.

In addition to the old features, this new planner also has sturdy pockets that separate each month where you can put papers you need in for safe keeping. Which is great for me. I already have my brother-in-law’s birthday card bought, and his birthday isn’t until the summer (hey, I found a great card).

There are monthly sections to record your fixed and variable expenses and track your monthly income and expenses, which is a great idea if you are always wondering where your money goes.

Before the month begins, you have a section to write down what is happening in your life at that moment. There is another spot to records your goals for yourself, your family, household and finances. You can also quickly jot down some things that are going on during the month as well as what is coming up the next month. And there is a spot to record birthdays during the month so you can track who you bought cards for.

For quick access, there is a three inch flap that will hold your place where ever you need it so you don’t need to flip through your entire book each time you want to write something down or access information.

My favorite, and most used, feature is the calendar section. On one full-page, you can see your month at a glance, as well as see each week in more depth. It is set up so that the weekly calendar takes up half a page so you can still see the full monthly calendar. This is perfect for me because I have every day of the monthly calendar filled. I fill it with my post ideas that I want to plan out, a brief note of our family plans, doctor appointments and I track my days off. I use the weekly calendar to add more detailed information if I need it and it works out great.

This book comes with me everywhere and it has been a life saver. Especially since I’ve been pregnant, I’ve been forgetting things a lot easier and I call this planner ‘my brain’. I write down my plans and thoughts and then if I forget something, it is no problem.

Last but not least, there is a great holiday planning section at the back. I like to make lists before the holidays so I am prepared and this is a great extra feature to have in a planner.

The Womans Day Planner is available on the Chaos…Simplified website for $38.95. This is a must-have for anyone who enjoys the feeling of being organized and would also make a great gift.

And there is a special discount code for This Bird’s Day readers. Use coupon code TBD2011 while checking out to get 10% off your order. The code is good until February 28th.
