On August 24, Nick Jr. will be releasing Nick Jr Favorites: Happy Halloween on DVD. Filled with spooktacular episodes, this DVD includes Dora, Diego, the Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, Blue’s Clues and Kai-lan in a fun-filled group of shows about one of our favorite holidays; Halloween.
Papa Bird and I love Halloween and for the past two years we have slowly been exposing Baby Bird to the holiday in a way that makes it fun. We hang our ‘scary’ pumpkin head monster in the garage and Baby Bird says hi and bye to ‘Igor’ during the day. She thinks he’s cute.
Now, with this new release from Nickelodeon, we can show her that all of the cartoon characters that she loves celebrate the holiday too.
Her favorite episode by far on this DVD is Halloween with DJ Lance and the Yo Gabba Gabba! group. She likes the songs and enjoys watching everyone dress up for Halloween. I liked that they included a part about eating too much Halloween candy and was able to include that as an example of why Baby Bird couldn’t have a second bowl of ice cream one night after dinner and she accepted my reasoning.
This DVD is packed full with six episode which include:
- Dora the Explorer: Boo!
- Go, Diego, Go!: Freddie the Fruit Bat Saves Halloween!
- Wonder Pets!: Save the Bat, Save the Donkey
- Yo Gabba Gabba!: Halloween
