On July 13, The Backyardigans are back with their newest DVD release titled The Backyardigans: Operation Elephant Drop. Released by Nick Jr, this DVD includes four of their fun-filled episodes that are set to their own musical genres.
In the first episode on the DVD, titled Elephant on the Run, Tyrone and Pablo are tasked with protecting an endangered Indian elephant and keeping it away from Uniqua who wants to steal the elephant and keep it as her pet. This episode is set to a fun alternative rock music theme.
Each Backyardigans’ story is based on what the characters come up with in their imagination. They show that they don’t have to go far to have fun. They can just turn their own backyards in to anything they want.
In each episode there is always a good lesson to learn. In The Magic Skateboard, also found on this DVD, is the lesson that you can accomplish a lot if you believe in yourself and practice.
There is also a wide range of music genres in each episode to enjoy. The episodes (and music genres) on this new DVD are:
- Elephant on the Run (Alternative Rock)
- The Magic Skateboard (Forró)
- The Flipper! (Bo Diddley-Style Rock)
- Super Team Awesome! (American Country Rock)
This DVD has a run time of 95 minutes and is available on July 13 for purchase.
