I am lucky in a lot of ways. I get to post about a LOT of great products and companies on here
and I get to share my experiences with all of you. I love getting comments or emails from you guys saying hi, or telling me how my site or tips have helped you.
I am also lucky in that when I have a frustration or bad experience with a product or company that doesn’t get resolved, I can come here to share in the hopes that:
- the company will work with me to try to help resolve the situation, or
- to save some of you the hassle of going through what I went through
Not everyone has this luxury. Not everyone has their own website or wants to invest their time in one. For those, it can be frustrating when you have a bad experience and you try to get some help and your concerns fall on deaf ears.
Does it fall on deaf ears because the company just lacks in service in general, or worse (in my eyes), does it go unanswered because they think that you are just one person and you can’t do anything.
I found out today about The Squeaky Wheel – I’ll share how in a moment. In a nutshell, if you have a consumer issue that is being ignored, you can go to this site and share your complaint with the world. Taken from their site, “every time a complaint page is viewed, it triggers an automatic e-mail notification letting the target company know that another potential customer has just viewed the complaint.”
So if you ever find yourself in a position where you feel helpless, check this website out and keep the good fight going.
Now to how I heard about this. A fellow This Bird’s Day friend has had a bad experience and is using this site to try to reopen communication to get her consumer issue resolved. Amy has shared her story and included images and is hoping to spread the word to show the company that she may be one person, but a voice can be heard by many others.
So go to Amy’s complaint on The Squeaky Wheel. When you click over to her story, an automatic email is sent to the company – each time, so let’s all show her our support and click to read. It might also help you in future buying decisions as a consumer!

Sherri… Thank you so much for writing this! I really appreciate it! I would also like to thank my fellow This Bird's Day readers for taking the time to read my story! I will be sure to keep everyone updated as to whether I get any results from this!
