I was recently sent an electronic copy of Shel Horowitz’s new e-book titled “Painless Green: 111 Tips to Help the Environment, Lower Your Carbon Footprint, Cut Your Budget, and Improve Your Quality of Life – With No Negative Impact on Your Lifestyle”.

In this book, Shel talks about various, mostly small changes you can make in and around your home that will have big impacts on your wallet and environment.

I thought it would be a fun idea to go through the e-book and see how many of the 111 tips I already knew about and was using. In total, our family already did 50 of the tips. Seven of the tips were not applicable to our family so that leaves 54 tips that we weren’t doing and didn’t know about.

54 — that’s a lot, and a lot of those tips will be implemented right away.

One of the tips made me go “huh!” (tip #85). I really had no idea and will be trying it out on my next visit to get gas.

Shel Horowitz is also the owner of Frugal Fun and has also written Guerilla Marketing Goes Green with Jay Conrad Levinson.

You can purchase Painless Green online. The cost of the e-book is $9.95 and will make you back more than that in future savings if you choose to put those tips to good use.

You can also check out her archives of Frugal Fun Tips online.
