The Nightmare of a POSITIVISION by Louise Uwacu: Book Review

May 21, 2010 · 0 comments

I was sent a copy of Lousie Uwacu’s first book titled The Nightmare of a POSITIVISION to read. Louise is a former refugee, a woman who has endured child abuse growing up, the separation from her family and the loss of countless friends during the Rwandan genocide.

57676 L The Nightmare of a POSITIVISION by Louise Uwacu: Book ReviewIn Louise’s own words, “This is the story of how I went from my mother’s womb in Rwanda, grew into a Rebellious teenager in Kenya and became a Fearless woman in Canada. Through various travel tales and numerous encounters across three different continents; I am giving you the naked version of me and revealing the hidden side of our dramas and dreams”.

To watch her speak (YouTube) is inspiring and she radiates positivity. Through her book, Louise reminds us that “Yes we are dying, but we are still breathing” and reminds me that my worst problems today are nothing compared to what some have to face every day.

This book is so well written that I had to put it down a few times and come back to it when I was emotionally ready. It’s a lot to absorb someone’s life and I realized a few times as I read it that for me it is a story, but for her it is her life.

I am amazed by this woman.

Louise started POSITIVISION* which is an independent, neutral and impartial organization, and whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to support, encourage, and build EDUCATION.

You can help support her cause and purchase her book on Amazon.ca for $11.62. It is also available as an Electronic Book for $7.
