I love salads in the summer time. I have been experimenting with making my own dressings from scratch and have come up with some wonderful concoctions.
But most days, when it comes down to it, I am a busy mom with a full time job and I don’t have the time (or desire) at the end of the day to try something new. For that reason, Kraft dressings are always found in our fridge.
This summer, Kraft has introduced three new products and it is perfect timing as my garden has now been planted and I can’t wait to eat all of our fresh veggies.
The first out of the three new products is the Sizzling Salads entrée salad kits. I was sent the Chicken Caesar kit to try out. The kit comes with one cooking sauce for your meat, and one salad dressing sauce for your salad. I whipped this up last night in less than 20 minutes which helps me out at the end of a busy day. Papa Bird doesn’t get home from work until almost 6:00pm most nights and by then Baby Bird is ready to eat.
I cooked up my chicken in a skillet as per the directions, and added the Cracked Black Pepper Cooking Sauce. The smell was wonderful and the black pepper really stood out. Once that was cooked, I put my salad together, tossed the Classic Caesar Dressing in and added the chicken on top.
The meal was quick and full of flavour. The only suggestion I would make for the Sizzling Salads would be to make the Cooking Sauce bottle smaller, and the Salad Dressing bottle larger (right now they are the same size). Only 2 tablespoons is needed for the chicken, but if you are serving this to 4 people, there is no way they will split the 2 tablespoons between the 4 of them so you will always run out of the dressing before the sauce.
The Sizzling Salad kits are available in four different flavours depending on your mood and can be found in your grocery store of choice in the dressings aisle.
Kraft has also introduced a line called pure Refrigerated Dressings and a Natural Flavours line that I am looking forward to trying out this summer.
