“The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.” ~ Mark Twain
Thank you to everyone who read, fell for and took my April Fools Day post with a grain of salt. As of noon today, 39 people clicked over on the link to oppose the end of coupon stacking. Feel free to check it out as I will keep it up, and I’m warning you now – I will be back next year!
I want to take a moment to wish you and your family a very Happy Easter. I am looking forward to leaving work today and seeing Baby and Papa Bird. Four whole days off with them – I’m so excited.
This is my favorite Easter video.
We actually had a rough night last night with Baby Bird as she threw up twice just before midnight. She finally fell asleep and slept soundly until this morning and when she woke up she felt fine and went in to daycare. Poor girl…
We have a few things to do this weekend. We hope to get our homemade wine bottled. Right now we have been syphoning it out of the carboy every time we want a glass of wine — not classy! We also want to have a lot more packing done.
We will be having friends over for an Easter dinner and I am looking forward to catching up with everyone.
We have some family Easter traditions as well. On Good Friday, we don’t eat meat so I am trying out a new recipe, Monterey Spinach Pasta. I hope it turns out.
We are also going to church to have our Easter breakfast blessed on Saturday. This year, Baby Bird gets to carry in her own basket of goodies as well. In her basket are some chocolates from us and her grandparents, a toy, a little knit bunny, a book and a rosary that I bought when I was traveling through Italy at the Vatican in 1997.
We all want to get in some outdoor time as it is going to be so nice here in Edmonton. There will be many walks and a few trips to our local playground. Other than that it is pack, pack, pack. We have one week until we take possession and I am so excited to get in there.
My family and I wish you and your family a wonderful Easter filled with lots of love, family, friends and candy.

"Happy Easter" to you too. Love your Easter video. Will be there in a week, can't wait to see you all. Lots of love.
