Dora, Boots, Diego and the gang are back on April 13 when Nick Jr. releases Dora the Explorer: Explore the Earth! on DVD.
Released just in time for Earth Day, this DVD will help your children learn about different environments and seasons as well as about various animals from all over the world. For those who are unfamiliar with Dora, she also helps kids to learn some Spanish along the way.
I enjoy watching the Dora shows with Baby Bird because each episode is always about helping someone out and working together. As soon as we ask Baby Bird to ‘help’ she is always right in there. She loves being called helpful and I think that is one of the reasons she enjoys watching Dora.
We had some company over last weekend and it was wind down time for the kiddos and they needed to sit for a bit and chill. I put this on for the kids to watch and there was an immediate quiet in the room. So don’t take it from me, I got 4 thumbs up on it from the kids in the room. Then they all slipped into TV watching mode and I became invisible (which was a good thing after a couple of hours of them running all over the house and yard like crazies).
The four episodes on this DVD are:
- Mixed-up Seasons
- Save Diego
- To the South Pole
- Beaches
There are also two adorable Mouse and Zee music videos on the DVD.
The DVD is about 99 minutes in length and it will be released on April 13, 2010 with a suggested retail price of $16.99. This would make a great addition to any Dora and/or Diego collection.
As of posting this, this DVD is available for pre-order and purchase online at Amazon.ca for price of $13.99. It is also available at Amazon.com for $13.49.
