Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom Review and Giveaway (Closed)

Chicken Soup for the Soul released Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom in March 2010, just in time for Mother’s Day. Included in this book are 101 stories of gratitude, love and good times with mom.
I love my mom and I love being Baby Bird’s mom. There’s no feeling in the world as strong as a mother’s love for her child and the stories included here capture that feeling.

I enjoyed reading through this book and found one story that reminded me of my mother. More so it also described the mother that I hope to be for Baby Bird. It is written by Elizabeth Atwater and is titled “Somebody to Turn the Rope”. It is about a mother who realized the importance of spending time with her children over keeping her house spotless. The author describes perfectly the point of view of the child that benefited from her mother’s desire to really be a part of her child’s life as she was growing up.
