Nick Jr. will be releasing The Backyardigans: Escape from the Tower on DVD on Tuesday, March 30. Included in this DVD are three different shows from The Backyardigans plus a Dance Along with The Fresh Beat Band titled Rock the Luau.
The Backyardigans are a group of friends that turn their backyard into different adventures. The work together to solve different mysteries and sing and dance their way through their stories.
The thing I like about the Backyardigans is that not all characters are in every episode showing that you don’t need all of your friends over to have fun and that you can make a story up based on how many players you have at that moment.
Baby Bird loves it when they sing and dance because they look at the viewer and she gets so excited when TV characters look like they notice her.
The three Backyardigan shows on this DVD are:
- Break Out!
- Los Galacticos
- For the Love of Socks
Included with this DVD is Rock the Luau. The Fresh Beat Band is holding a luau and Marina’s hands and hips start to move on their own when the music starts to play. They learn in the end that she is trying to tell a story and everyone has fun at the luau. Baby Bird was dancing to this and I taught her to move her hands so she could dance Hawaiian style along with The Fresh Beat Band.
The DVD is about 95 minutes in length and it will be released on March 30, 2010.
