I enjoy watching Veggie Tales with Baby Bird. The characters are colourful and they catch her attention.
It’s Christmas time and Laura Carrot finds out her dad may lose his job. In an effort to share the real meaning Bob tells everyone the story of Nicholas and the real meaning of Christmas. Will Laura and her dad have something to celebrate over the holidays? You’ll have to watch to find out…
I sat down with Baby Bird to watch this and I really enjoyed it too. There were some funny parts throughout and I got a kick out of the Helpful Humanitarian song in the middle called ‘Donuts for Benny’. Mr Lunt sings and asks passers by to share their donuts with his poor dog and the dog becomes hyper from too much sugar and starts tossing Mr Lunt around, then Mr Lunt says “Maybe you shouldn’t have any more donuts.” Ha, I love that part!
Humour aside, this is a great DVD to have on hand to help teach your little one about the real reason we celebrate Christmas and is full of great songs by Matthew West and Amy Grant.
I know the holidays have just passed, but this is a great DVD to pick up for next year and is perfect for younger kids. I think Baby Bird likes it for three reasons, she loves the colours (right now she is learning about colours), she loves things with big eyes and smiles, and she loves music.
