Walt Disney Studios released Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Bow-Tique on DVD today. Included in this DVD are four Minnie-themed stories which includes a never-before-seen episode and a fun Minnie magnet bow frame for the fridge. There are also some added features I will write about in a moment.
We received a copy of this DVD to review and Baby Bird got right into it. She loves shows where she is included in the action. At the beginning of each episode, Mickey asks us (the audience) if we want to go into the Clubhouse with him. During the second episode when he asked, Baby Bird nodded. Very cute!
In Minnie’s Bow-Tique, it’s the grand opening of Minnie’s bow store and there is something in there for everyone. Trouble soon arises when Pete is looking for a special bow for his aunt but is too afraid to ask for help. Everyone works together to keep the grand opening on track and to find that perfect bow for everyone. Here is a clip from that episode.
Throughout each episode Minnie and friends encounter some obstacles. Each time, they try to figure out an answer together and when they need additional help, they can call on O’Toodles to give them the option of some tools they may need. I have been trying to help Baby Bird work through her frustrations instead of just getting upset and giving up, so this part in each episode was a great learning tool for me as well. Here is another clip during the Pajama Party episode where Minnie and friends need to solve a problem.
Another favorite part for Baby Bird, and me, was at the end when the characters did the Hot Dog Dance. I love watching Baby Bird dance around and boy did she boogie with the best of them to this music.
‘Minnie’s Pajama Party,’ and ‘Minnie’s Bee Story,’ also include a Disney Adventure Mode where you can use your DVD remote to choose answers throughout the episode. The story plays and at certain times during the show, the TV will ask questions. You can use your remote to help answer them and keep the story going.
This is a fun DVD to watch with your child(ren) and it has the option to be interactive if they want to join in on the fun. The colours are bright and the music is upbeat. Did I mention that Baby Bird loves the Hot Dog Dance?

It is – I giggled when Baby Bird nodded to Mickey's questions. I thought she was going to stand up and try to walk into the tv to get to his clubhouse/
