One of those stories that warmed my heart was titled ‘How to Treat Your Fans’ by Rob Fisher. It was a beautifully written story about his mother and the day that Dale Earnhardt bypassed a bunch of movers and shakers to shake hands and talk with her, and only her, then he was off. It reminds me of a time I had met someone famous who asked some people who you would think were more important than us at the time to step aside so they could talk to us excited girls. Moments like that stay with you forever and the story captures her excitement really well.
