I received some infant toys (made by MiYim) from Jupiter Industries to review.
Before I had a child of my own I never thought in a million years I would mentally tear apart a cute little teddy bear. I sat one day and watched my daughter while she was teething. She only wanted to chew on one of her teddy bear’s ears. Nothing else felt right. As I watched, I began to think.
“What type of material is that? What was it died in?”
“I wonder what type of thread they used to hold this thing together?”
“What about the stuffing? Sure it looks okay on the outside, but what is on the inside?”
So I was pretty excited to review these organic infant toys.
First off, Jupiter Industries distributes many top selling lines including the miYim organic infant toy line, the Simply Fido organic pet toy line, Robbie Dawg organic biscuits, Petstages developmental toys for cats, dogs, and birds and Little Gifts jewelry and giftware. Jupiter Industries is also the exclusive Canadian distributor of many of the top lines in the pet industry which include several organic and eco-friendly products.
Did you know that one third (1/3) of the world’s pesticides are used on cotton crops alone. These chemicals are absorbed into the cotton plant, the air, the soil, the water and eventually, our bodies.
I received the Storybook Benjamin Plush Frog, the Fairytale Baby Ben Plush Frog and a Frog with a cute little plush heart. They are filled with a natural unprocessed, untreated, and unbleached organic cotton. The fabric is coloured in a water bath with dyes from plants and minerals and are free from harmful substances (chemicals). And the toys are certified non-toxic.
From a mommy-perspective, they are so soft a cuddly. Because they are coloured naturally, I can see a slight difference in the green colour on the Frog with the plush heart, but that is what I like about him and he is my favorite out of the bunch specifically because of that. I love that I have a toy to reach for when Baby Bird is looking for something to teeth on.
