Tinytongs – Review & Giveaway (Closed)

December 4, 2009 · 36 comments

Meals are always a lot of fun at our house. We always eat together and at the table. Baby Bird is becoming more independent and loves to show us that she can use her spoon. When we eat foods that don’t require a spoon, she is a little lost sometimes. She sees us eating with a fork, and wants to do the same.

Tinytongs logoWe received a pair of Tinytongs to review. From the first time Baby Bird tried them, she loved them.

We started off grabbing the food with the tongs ourselves and then handing it to Baby Bird. She would grab them and eat. I think this helps her feel more a part of our dinner because we are eating with forks, and she gets to join in with her own version that is ergonomically fitted for her little hand.

The Tinytongs are also lead, BPA and phthalate free and are dishwasher safe. They also have a great grip so little hands can keep a good hold on them. There is also a grip at the ends to hold food in place and the end is a good size for little kids mouths.

As Mama Bird to a very active eater, I do wish that the colors on the rubber grip were a lot darker than the ones available. We used the Tinytongs for a spaghetti dinner and the tomato sauce turned the rubber handles an orange colour before they could be washed. that being said, we still love the Tinytongs and are still using these at every meal.

Tinytongs retail for $7.99US and are available at their online store.

Tinytongs is also offering one lucky This Bird’s Day reader a Tinytongs of their own as a giveaway…

Uggh! I hate when spaghetti or lasagna changes containers! I guess that is a downside about the tinytongs, but still love how cute they are and the fact that they are dishwasher safe!
