Ski Banz – Review & Giveaway (Closed)

December 3, 2009 · 29 comments

I realized the other day that I need to pay closer attention to Baby Bird’s eyes on sunny days. I picked her up a couple of months ago on a sunny day and while driving home I realized that the sun was on her face and she had her head turned away and her eyes were closed. This was a humbling moment for me because as I sat there with my sunglasses on, I realized that I hadn’t thought about the sun in her eyes.

banz logoI started my quest for a good pair of sunglasses for her that will keep up with her as she plays outside. I found Baby Banz, a company that provides children’s sunglasses with 100% UV protection among other products.

Baby Bird received a pair of pink Ski Banz to review. The Ski Banz fit snuggly around Baby Bird’s head and are held on with an elastic strap which is great for active kids. There is a nylon padding around the frame so that there is a soft padding around Baby Bird’s eyes and nose. I really like that they completely cover Baby Bird’s eyes so that no snow or wind can get in. They are designed to stay on for all winter activities from sledding to making snow angels and come with a lot of great features that every mom or dad would want for their child such as:

  • Wide vision lenses offer 100% UVA/ UVB protection
  • Made of durable, shatter-resistant polycarbonate for optimal safety
  • Mirrored lenses to reduce glare from snow
  • Sporty, sleek design
  • Soft nylon padding adds a comfortable secure fit

Baby Banz also sells a wide variety of sunglasses and UV protective clothing and more. Drop by and check out their selection when you get a chance.

Ski Banz fit approximately 3 years to 7 years old (16”-25” head circumference). They retail for $15.00US and are available for purchase from their online store.

Baby Banz is also offering one lucky This Bird’s Day reader one (1) pair of Ski Banz (winner’s choice of colour) of their own as a giveaway…

I am rather interested in the ear muffs, since we have had so many issues with hearing around here.
