I took some ‘Mommy Time’ and went up to the mall to see what deals I could find. Every store was having some kind of a sale and I found some good stuff.

In Chapters they were selling their Christmas items at 30 – 50% off and I bought a cute Cookie and Milk serving set for Santa (that comes with a carrot dish for the reindeer) at 50% off. I also picked up two of Margaret Atwood’s children books for $2 each. I saved $40 on those two books alone. I also bought a pocket calendar and some holiday cards for 50% off.

Then I went to The Body Shop. They are discontinuing their Peach Body Butter so it was on sale for 50% off. I also grabbed some Papaya Body Scrub that was supposed to be 50% off at $10.00, but it was in an $8.00 bin so I got an extra $2.00 off, and I picked up two Papaya Lip Balms at $4.00 each. In the end, I bought $80 worth of stuff for $36, and I used a $35 gift card — thanks sis! The Body Shop at my location had the Peach, Raspberry and Almond Body Butters on sale for 50% off so if you like any of those, then now is the time to stock up. I think the Raspberry and Almond ones are seasonal only.

I also stopped in to our London Drugs. I didn’t do any coupon stacking. I just wanted to look around. They have some great deals on some of their toys right now. I saved 40% on an item for my niece’s birthday that I am so excited about. I just can’t tell you what it is in case my sister-in-law stops by here for a visit ;)

I originally wanted to go to the mall to find Baby Bird some cute outfits for the holidays next year but I couldn’t find any. Granted I only went to Old Navy and Childrens Place. I think I will have to go back to check all of the other kids stores. I just ran out of time.

I am happy with my deals. I didn’t have a lot of time in each store, but I came out with some nice things.
