Money saving tip: Stop using paper towels! Install a hook in your cabinet under the sink and put a mesh bag on it, then use rags instead. When the bag is full, toss it in the wash. Paper towels are both horribly expensive and bad for the environment, so you'll kill 2 birds…. uuuuh totally the wrong expression to use here, eh?

My money saving tip is to buy in bulk whenever possible and invest in a small energy star freezer if you dont already have one because your fridge freezer probably wont be enough room. I go to a butcher shop thats approximately 1/2 hour away because one of their specials are usually lean ground beef for $1.99 lb and they have steak, chicken, ribs, butterfly chops that are also usually on special. This is the time I stock up and fill both freezers. It does save you time and money in the long run and the meat is fresh.

I luv the day old/last chance at the grocery store. great for bananas for baking or for baby girl to snack on while we're shopping (because they are pre-weighed you can open them right away) also, for veggies especially if I am going to make a sauce (tomatoes, peppers, etc) and breads and bake goods for a treat – they can even go right in the freezer and just be taken out one muffin at a time.

Grab coupons from save.ca and gocoupons.com, use them when the item is on sale. If you have an airmiles card even better! When Rexall has their airmiles days you can rack up the points and get your items on sale plus your coupons help out^-^
Shop AROUND especially for video games.. blockbuster wants an arm and a leg for new games but if you wait about a month after a game is released.. you can get the game$20-$40 cheaper.. Around christmas they have deals for buying dvds and games too.
Lots of no name/president choice foods taste better than brand names and are cheaper to boot.
Plan your shopping trip out by looking over the weeks flyers and writing everything you plan to buy.. put down the prices and how much you plan to buy.. factor in your coupons.. add in the taxes and only pull out enough cash to cover that trip so you won't spend more than you wanted too. But add maybe an extra 10-20 incase your adding was wrong lol.

Money Saving Tip: Plan atleast three months in advance about the upcoming birthdays and anniversaries and keep your eyes open for any good deals. This was there is no last minute rush to spend on something expensive. When planned ahead the same stuff could be purchased cheaper.

I found a really easy money saving tip is when I want to buy something, a lot of times at most stores you can just ASK when it's going on sale next, most of the time they actually let me know that it's going on sale tomorrow or on the weekend and I buy it then! My money saving tip is to use coupons. I know it can be a pain, but if you have a little stack of coupons in your purse at all times, you can save a bundle when you're out shopping. I have a fabric envelope that I made just to keep coupons in, it matches the lining of my purse even! I'd guess we save about 10% on our groceries annually with coupons. That adds up to a lot!

My money-saving tip is to make a list of what you NEED and stick to it! I also go through the flyers and shop where the sales are. Even if I have to go to 2 grocery stores the savings are worth it (unless you have to drive too far and spend too much on gas to get to the 2nd store).
*Also – watch the register…if things don't come up with the correct price you just may be entitled to that product for free!!!! (see the Scanning Code of Practice for your store – I just received $10 off baby formula because the price came up more than the list price on the shelf!)

My biggest money saving tip is to shop smart when it comes to groceries. Compare prices in the flyers before you shop, make a meal plan based around what is on sale each week, sign up for the rewards programs at your local grocery stores and use coupons!! In the last six months I have cashed in $95 in Sobeys points and used over $700 in coupons!
Money saving tip…it's not always worth driving from place to place following deals. Bring your coupons and go wild at one.
I will use the coupon on myself to indulge in my favourite item…cookbooks! I don't buy them that often anymore b/c I get bugged. =D
