Cafe logoThis year, Café Bom Dia and National Geographic launched Terra Firma, to bring you coffee from six of the world’s best growing regions, Brazil, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Sumatra and Kenya. Their coffees are all Fair Trade Certified which means that they are bought with fair pricing, environmental stewardship and the individual farming communities in mind.

I was sent two of their coffees to review, a Medium Ground Coffee and a Dark Whole Bean Coffee, both from Brazil. In the notes on the back of the coffee it describes the coffee as “a smooth body and balanced flavor with hints of cocoa, red fruit and nuts”. I had my first cup of coffee and from my first sip, I could taste chocolate. I have finished off my ground coffee pack and am started on the whole beans now. I haven’t even bothered to go back to my old coffee. The coffee is full of flavor and the smell is wonderful. The perfect thing to wake this tired mom up in the morning.

The proceeds from Terra Firma are going to support vital exploration, conservation, research and education programs to benefit the world around us. Supporting fair trade helps individuals in poverty stricken regions to grow and can lead to whole communities becoming stronger. When you can, please support fair trade.

The coffee can be purchased online through Amazon.com for $19.97 for a 2-pack of 12-ounce bags. If you love coffee like I do, you need to check this out.
