Pop Art Toaster – 12 Days Review & Giveaway (Closed)

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…

Pop Art Toaster makes themed toasters that will create an image on your toast. Imagine that — waking up to a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast with a smiley face. Or cuter yet, toast with the words ‘bite me’ on them. That’s what Pop Art does. Their toasters are regular toasters with a great feature. They have a slot on them that allows a metal plate of their design to be inserted so that fun images can be toasted on to your bread.

Pop Art Toaster has released a Holiday Edition of their very popular themed toasters and I was sent one to review. The toaster is a nice red colour to match the holidays and comes with 6 metal plates with holiday designs on them. We were really excited to try this toaster out when we first got it so we read the instructions and tried it with the Christmas tree and Santa designs. The instruction manual suggested a good level to toast on was number 3, so we gave it a whirl on that setting. Sure enough, the back of the toast was nicely toasted and the front side was lightly toasted all over with a darker toasting where the design is (exactly as pictured here). If the metal design plates are removed, this can be used like a regular toaster. There is a frozen and reheat function on it as well as a cancel button. There are a total of 7 settings depending on how toasted you want your bread. There is also a removable crumb tray which is always nice to have as it beats holding it upside down and shaking it. Another feature I like is on the bottom of the toaster. There are two hooks that you can wrap the cord around and clip it to cleanly store it when not in use. I hate straggly cords!

Pop Art has a number of different toasters and products available. They have other toasters, stencils and tasty bakers. They even have a creativity colouring kit which include 5 FDA approved flavoured edible markers and a colouring book. The idea behind this is that once the toast is ready with the desired design, your kids can use the markers to colour the toast before eating it. I would have eaten a lot of toast if this was around when I was a kid!

Pop Art Toasters retail for about $34.99. I am looking forward to using the holiday themed plates more, closer to Christmas and I know it will become one of those things we look forward to when thinking about the holidays. One of our family traditions is that we don’t eat meat on Christmas Eve, and I hope in keeping that tradition, another one will be that we have our Christmas Eve morning breakfast with special holiday toast.
