Ozone Socks – Review & Giveaway (Closed)

November 25, 2009 · 63 comments

Papa Bird always jokes that it is really easy to sort my socks after doing the laundry because they all have different designs on them. I love different designs, stripes, dots, images, you name it.
logo Ozone Socks Review & Giveaway (Closed)So when I was contacted about a review for Ozone Socks, I was in my element. Sock heaven for this fancy foot fashionista. They have a great selection of socks for men, women and they have a baby section that looks like it might be coming soon.

In the womens section, there are a lot to choose from. They have all lengths as well from mid-calf all the way up to over the knee and tights. They also have new styles and ankle socks coming out on February 20, 2010 for even more selection and styles. If you want a solid colour sock to match a specific outfit, they also have their Cool Basics that come in one of 25 colours.

dots socksI was sent three items to review. The first was the Mixed Up Dots sock. I compared it agianst the image on the screen and the colours are an exact match to what it showed on my computer. The socks are a cotton/polyamid blend and are soft to wear. The seams of the socks also don’t bother my toes when I wear my work shoes. The socks are fun, and they are the first ones I choose to wear out after laundry day.

arm warmerI was also sent the Boucle Arm and Leg Warmer. This can be used either as arm or leg warmers. The last time I wore leg warmers, Dirty Dancing was just making it’s way into theatres! I wanted to try this out as an arm warmer and they come with me every day to my work. I work in a large office building and the temperature isn’t always controlled well. I’m actually wearing them right now as I type this up on my lunch break. They are made in France and are a warm knit material. I am not cold per-say but my arms get chilled when I wear some of my work tops, so instead of wearing layers that I am constantly trying to put on and take off to control my body temperature, I just pull these out and slip them on.

One other use I found for these is wearing them under sweaters that have “ahem” shrunk. I have some favorite sweaters that I have been holding on to where, due to washing, the sleeves are a little shorter. I have no idea why I hold on to these, maybe I’m waiting for the day my arms start shrinking or something. I just can’t part with them. I slide these arm warmers on under them and they fill the small gap around my wrists in some of them and I have been able to wear my favorites out once again.

skull socksPapa Bird was sent the third product. A pair of Skull & Piston riders (below knee). When he wears them with pants, they just look like regular socks, but they have a really great design on them with a skull and flames. Papa Bird tells me that he likes them and they are comfortable and I’ve noticed right after laundry day when all of his socks are available, he always chooses his Skull & Piston socks first.

This is a company that even understands Sock Abduction. Maybe you’ve been a victim too! Have you ever had a favorite pair of socks that you washed and somewhere between rinse and tumble dry they go missing? Well, Ozone Socks understands how terrible that can be to experience. To combat this, they will also sell you single socks at 1/2 the cost of the regular pair. Just send them an email and they will get you back on track.

Since these socks are always our first choice to wear, they have held up well to our regular use. They continue to be comfortable and there are a lot of different designs to choose from. Stop by their online catalogue and look around. These would make a great stocking stuffer.

Ozone Socks has also offered one lucky This Bird’s Day reader two pairs of socks of their choice as a giveaway…
