I haven’t been keeping up on the weather in the rest of Canada, but here, it’s getting colder. Our weather is walking a very fine line between a cool fall and the start of a long winter.
I am prone to earaches in the winter months and normally I leave my hair down to cover my ears from the cold and the wind, I have thick hair so that worked for me. When I am out with Baby Bird though, I usually put my hair up in a ponytail to avoid showing up at work with bits of banana in my hair. I don’t like the bulkiness of regular earmuffs because my hair always gets tangled in the plastic part that goes over your head, and I don’t like toques because in the dry winter months when I pull them off my hair stands on end from all of the static.

Actually when I put them on and leave my hair down, you can’t even tell I am wearing them. The fleece is soft against my ears and they don’t pull on my ears. After a few minutes of wearing them, I forget I have them on. The Teflon fabric protector makes the Ear Mitts more durable because of it’s water repellents and stain & soil protection. When they do start showing their wear, they can be easily cleaned.
