Do you want to be in a Canadian Documentary? Are you or do you know a tween or teen girl?

I received an email 2 days ago about a public filming opportunity for tween and teen girls in Calgary on October 19, 2009. They asked me to help spread the word. I like stuff like this. As you know, my Baby Bird is 15 months old and I am thankful every day for the opportunities we have now and for the ones I hope she will have in the future. I know life is a lot harder for other Baby Birds out there, and I think building awareness and empowering young girls to be their best is a good start.

Plan Canada just released the 2009 edition of their ground breaking series of reports Because I Am A Girl. According to their research, investing in girls can literally lift entire nations out of poverty.

Plan Canada in support of the 2009 Because I am a Girl report is filming a documentary across Canada and will be in Calgary from October 19th to the 22nd filming at locations across the city. This documentary is aimed at capturing the experiences of teens, tweens and their inspirations.

These experiences will be captured and replayed as a documentary to be released in Spring 2010.

Right now I only have the location and date for Calgary. I will contact them back to see if I can get the locations across Canada.
