Pictorial Websters bookI was sent a copy of Pictorial Webster’s by John M. Carrera for review. This book contains over 1,500 images that were originally in 19th-century Webster’s Dictionaries. The images in the book are amazing and features everything from aardvarks to zoanthus. I enjoyed looking through the pages to see what has changed and what’s stayed the same over the decades.

If you like reference books, old drawings or history of any sort, then you will enjoy this book. At the beginning of the book, the author explains how to read the book and which editions each of the drawings came from. At the back of the book, the author talks about the different styles that were used in the drawings. The hardcover book looks like an old book reference book itself and would look great as a decorative item around the house.

stamp setI also received the stamp set that compliments this book. It features different sized stamps in various images such as a seahorse, snail and a tree. I am looking forward to using these with Baby Bird to create fun designs when she is old enough to use them. This set would make a great addition to anyone who enjoys stamping as a hobby.

Wall cards are also available to complete this set. You can buy Pictorial Webster’s, the stamps and the wall cards online through Chronicle Books or Amazon.ca.

I would like to thank Sylvia for contacting me about this review and introducing me to this book.
