We got home from Jasper a couple of hours ago. We unpacked and now Papa Bird and Baby Bird are taking a nap. The weather was beautiful all weekend. I had taken two different products with us to the mountains to try out for reviews this week. With the weather being so nice, I was only able to review one of them and that review will be coming tomorrow.
Before we left for the mountains on Friday, I did some coupon stacking at London Drugs. I’ve been saving my coupons for 5 weeks. Mostly because I have a favorite cashier at my London Drugs, her name is Behr. She is always so nice and patient with me and my stacks and I really like chatting with her. In the end, I ended up saving $183.46. So what should have cost me $257.88, ended up costing me $74.42 and I am set for stuff for another couple of months.
I ended up buying 2 jumbo packs of Pampers in that total as well. Do you think I remembered to pack any diapers for Baby Bird for our trip to Jasper? Nope! We ended up going to WalMart in Hinton for a small pack (at least I had another coupon to get $2.00 off of those).
The weekend was nice and we hung out in the cabin, wandered around the town, drove out to Athabasca Falls and relaxed. Baby Bird has a new game she likes to play. She gets us to walk outside with her and close the door behind her, then she likes to knock and be welcomed back in. We saw some mountain goats, rams and elk while we were out there.
You may remember that I did a review about a month ago for the Clay and Katie books. Well, you will never believe who we saw at Athabasca Falls — Clay! Clay told me that Anna’s new book, Clay and Katie Meet the Dinosaurs will be out in a few weeks. I told him to watch his footing, he wouldn’t want to get swept away by all of that water…
