You don’t read something like this every day!
On Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 9:00am – 4:00pm, the Edmonton Potato Growers and the Greater Edmonton Alliance have teamed up to bring Edmontonians their own “Local Harvest” on some of our city’s most spectacular farmland.
Basically, you can go out, learn about potato growing and harvest 50 pounds of FREE potatoes per person. There are more than 100,000 pounds of potatoes available. The only catch is you harvest them yourself. This would be a great family outing, and did I mention – it’s free!!!
