NoThrow Sippy/Bottle Strap Review & Giveaway (Closed)

Baby Bird is at an age right now where nothing stays in her stroller for long. I am so happy I found the NoThrow Sippy/Bottle Strap and that I am doing this review. When we used to go out with her stroller, I would hold on to her water and give it to her in small increments. I was always afraid she would toss her sippy cup and then I wouldn’t have any water for her. I always wondered if she was hydrated enough and sometimes forgot to give it to her until she started to get fussy.

NoThrow was developed in 2001 by identical twin sisters Karla Scanlan and Karen Kuhn who’s sons kept tossing their sippy cups around. They began by borrowing a sewing machine and designed a product that would link their child’s cup or bottle to anything they were traveling in. NoThrow is designed to attach to either a sippy cup or water bottle and also attach to something like a stroller (we also used it in her bike trailer when we took her on her first ride). This way when Baby Bird doesn’t want any more water and she throws it out of the stroller, it is still there at the end of our excursion.

Now, when I put her in her stroller, I attach the NoThrow right away and she drinks out of it almost instantly every time. I never knew she liked to start off her travels with some water as I used to hang on to it until it was time for a break. She also always has it right by her so she drinks from it when she is thirsty (not when Mama Bird thinks she’s thirsty). When she doesn’t want it any more, it gets tossed out of the stroller. But A-HA! It doesn’t go far…

For part of my review, I tried it out in one of the largest malls in North America – that’s right. We spent three hours walking around West Edmonton Mall (and we only circled it once!). If you lose something when you’re in this mall, you just write it off and move on because it is gone for good! Believe me, I know, we lost one of her toys to this massive place a couple of months ago. So, three hours later and numerous attempts at throwing her sippy cup away, Baby Bird still had it attached to her stroller at the end of the trip. I LOVE IT!!!

The NoThrow is so easy and quick to attach and comes in many colors and designs. I reviewed the Orange NoThrow with Butterflies, which was actually my favorite design as Baby Bird’s stroller is orange. The NoThrow is double-sided so there is a design on both sides. It is well sewn and you can’t tell which should be the front or back (on the opposite side of mine was polka dots). It is also very sturdy and it took Baby Bird’s numerous attempts at throwing it out of the stroller like a champ and still looks brand new.

In addition to cups and bottles, I used the NoThrow around her snack cup and it worked great.

I also can not find one thing to improve on with this product. It is just great and it has become a part of my travel kit when I go out with Baby Bird. In my books it is an essential item and I carry it with us always now.

Now if someone would invent a NoThrow for hats, I’d be all set!
