This year, Earth Day is on Wednesday, April 22 (this Wednesday coming up). There are some stores who are doing things and having giveaways to celebrate. Click on the store name to get further details. Here is a list of the stores I know of that are participating, and what you can get (if you know of any others, let me know and I will add them):
Disney Stores – Bring in 3 plastic bottles to receive a free gift. By the looks of the website, it looks as though you will receive a free tote bag, but it doesn’t come out and say it. I’ve also read rumours that you receive a free water bottle so who knows. Check their site for locations.
Lush – I’ve heard that Lush is giving away “Seed Bombs” from now until April 26, 2009 to celebrate earth day and in honor of their “sex bombs” that made them famous. “The idea is to throw the seed bomb somewhere that needs colourful flowers (vacant lots, empty planter boxes….) and watch the transformation.” Seed bombs are made of soil, seeds, water and clay rolled into a small ball.
Starbucks – bring a travel mug to your local Starbucks and they’ll fill it with Pike Place roast for FREE.
